We were very sad to learn of Christina’s death. Please accept our sincere sympathies.
Remembering the pleasant day and evening we spent with her at the National Rally.
We find it difficult to realise such a vibrant character has gone.
(Sympathy card from Club members).

It is with shock and disbelief that we read Kevin’s note about the sudden death
of Christina.
We were taken unawares and can imagine the grief to all. Over the years one takes for granted that everyone fits nicely in place forever. Once more we find that this is not the case. I have forwarded the sad news to all over here and want to express the real grief and sorrow that we all experienced here. With our sincere condolences we wish to express our deep sympathy in these difficult moments, our warmest regards and from each and everyone according to his/hers faith the prayers we pray in her mourning and passing away.
(Sympathy card from Club member in France).

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Christina. Whilst I never met her in person, when I did own a Volvo, it was a 144S and I had a number of chats with Christina on the telephone about the car and the club. She struck me as someone incredibly patient, kind, knowledgeable and supportive. The world needs more people like her.
(Letter from Club member).

I was surprised and saddened to hear of the news of Christina. Although not a particularly ‘active’ member of the VEC I have appreciated the amount of work Christina (and indeed all) have put in to the club. My thoughts go out to her friends and family.
(Letter from Club member).

We were all shocked with the sad news. Personally I talked with Christina late December and then it looked like things were going to be ok… What a pity.
Christina will let a big emptiness that will be impossible to fill. She will live in our memories forever. Hope that you find strength in this and the fact that we all loved her.
(Sympathy card from Swedish Car Club Belgium).

It was sad to hear of Christina’s death and at such a time my thoughts are with you all.

I had met Christina at a number of V.E.C national meetings and always found her enthusiastic and approachable, even though she was still having to organise aspects which were cropping up (as they do at meetings!).

She will be much missed by VEC members and I am sure, by those who were friends and colleagues.
(Sympathy card from Club member).

Sadly we never met Christina, but realise how much she did for the Volvo Enthusiasts Club.

She must have been a very special person and will be greatly missed.
(Sympathy card from Club members).

I am very sorry to learn of the recent death of Christina, and am writing to express my deepest sympathy at this sad time.
I know how much you miss her dedication, selfless effort and hard work on behalf of
the VEC for which she worked so tirelessly for so many years.

May knowing that others care and share your sorrow help to comfort you.

We were both saddened to learn of Christina’s sudden death.
We know how much work she did on behalf of the club and know how much she will

Shocked to hear of Christina’s death. Deepest sympathy to you all.
(Text message from Club member).

(Sympathy card from club member).

Thinking of you at this very difficult time. Please pass on my condolences to
Christina’s family.
(Sympathy card from Club member).

We are shocked and saddened to hear the awful news about Christina. We hope it may be some consolation to you that she passed away peacefully and with her family nearby.

She will be greatly missed by both the Club, for her enormous contribution to its function and character, and by all those who knew her and were close to her.

I am sure your wish for forbearance on the part of Club members will be taken to heart, and we trust you will not feel obliged to return to such obligations until you feel you are ready to.

With warmest regards and the assurance that you are very much in our thoughts.
(Letter from Club member).

For being in contact with you after all these years passed, mixed with unhappiness for the loss of a favourable  person, Christina, the one who helped Volvo’s Club to be what it is. It is sad that God needs all good people by his side in heaven.
