I was so sorry that Chriss had lost her battle against cancer. I had hoped she was on the mend after our talk in November. Once again our deepest sympathy. In memory of Christina and the support she gave to Volvo from her friends at Volvo UK We were very sad to learn of Christina’s death. Please accept our sincere sympathies. It is with shock and disbelief that we read Kevin’s note about the sudden death Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of Christina. Whilst I never met her in person, when I did own a Volvo, it was a 144S and I had a number of chats with Christina on the telephone about the car and the club. She struck me as someone incredibly patient, kind, knowledgeable and supportive. The world needs more people like her. I was surprised and saddened to hear of the news of Christina. Although not a particularly ‘active’ member of the VEC I have appreciated the amount of work Christina (and indeed all) have put in to the club. My thoughts go out to her friends and family. We were all shocked with the sad news. Personally I talked with Christina late December and then it looked like things were going to be ok… What a pity. It was sad to hear of Christina’s death and at such a time my thoughts are with you all. I had met Christina at a number of V.E.C national meetings and always found her enthusiastic and approachable, even though she was still having to organise aspects which were cropping up (as they do at meetings!). She will be much missed by VEC members and I am sure, by those who were friends and colleagues. Sadly we never met Christina, but realise how much she did for the Volvo Enthusiasts Club. She must have been a very special person and will be greatly missed. I am very sorry to learn of the recent death of Christina, and am writing to express my deepest sympathy at this sad time. May knowing that others care and share your sorrow help to comfort you. We were both saddened to learn of Christina’s sudden death. Shocked to hear of Christina’s death. Deepest sympathy to you all. I am very sorry to hear of your sad loss. Christina will be greatly missed. Thinking of you at this very difficult time. Please pass on my condolences to We are shocked and saddened to hear the awful news about Christina. We hope it may be some consolation to you that she passed away peacefully and with her family nearby. She will be greatly missed by both the Club, for her enormous contribution to its function and character, and by all those who knew her and were close to her. I am sure your wish for forbearance on the part of Club members will be taken to heart, and we trust you will not feel obliged to return to such obligations until you feel you are ready to. With warmest regards and the assurance that you are very much in our thoughts. For being in contact with you after all these years passed, mixed with unhappiness for the loss of a favourable person, Christina, the one who helped Volvo’s Club to be what it is. It is sad that God needs all good people by his side in heaven. (Taken from letter to Kevin Price from Club member in Greece). |
