Coronavirus Pandemic
In view of the unfolding situation as we go to press with the Coronavirus pandemic, we must advise members that we are instigating a voluntary suspension of all club events until further notice. This will be kept under continual review, and we will follow government guidance as to when resume our events programme. The magazine, website and social media pages will continue as normal.
As a club, we have a duty to behave responsibly to our members, and to the wider public, and we are mindful of the demographic of our hobby, and that we have many older members with underlying health conditions. We urge all our members to follow the official advice, self-isolate if told to do so and take every precaution to stay well. Hopefully, we will all meet again in good health when the current emergency is at an end, and be back on the road in our Volvos. In the meantime, Stay safe!

The Volvo Enthusiasts Club are pleased to be one of the major UK Volvo Clubs supporting this record breaking attempt, which will take place at RAF Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground near Leicester – 600 Volvos are required to smash current record and we hope all members will take part and support the event, which will be held in aid of Breast Cancer Care You must book prior to the event and be registered to attend. July & August – ‘The VEC 2019 Reliability Challenge’ – ‘Round Britain Challenge for Cancer Research’. This year’s VEC Challenge is to be completed within the months of either July or August and is to undertake ‘A Round Mainland Britain Tour in aid of Cancer Research UK. The tour will require participants to visit ALL four Compass points on Mainland Britain. Participants can start at ANY Compass Points and the following point visits DO NOT NEED TO BE VISITED IN ANY ORDER. The Compass Points Are: North: Dunnet Head, Scotland – South: The Lizard Point, Cornwall. - East: Lowestoft Ness, Norfolk and West: Ardnamurchan Point, Scotland.
So strap yourself in for the road trip of a lifetime. If you are interested contact Kevin who will give you details of the route etc; and Sponsorship Form for Cancer Research UK.
