10th Bristol Vehicle Restoration Show 5th/6th November 2010
The Volvo Enthusiasts Club once again took a stand at this end of year show, organised by Nationwide Exhibitions at the Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
Our exhibits included Colin & May Tatlow’s beautiful 1957 PV444-08 one of the very last 444’s built and very rare in Europe being of US spec with twin SU Carbs and a 4 speed gearbox.
The other car was Kevin’s famous ‘HAB’ a 1962 Jensen West Bromwich, England built P1800 which has covered a staggering ½ Million Miles on its original engine, gearbox and rear axle. Due to illness the car had been in store and the car was brought to the show exactly how it had been removed from the unfortunately damp garage in which it was stored.
There was much interest in both cars and also armed with polish, rags etc Colin, May and Kevin spent some time removing the storage grime from the P1800 while answering the visitors many questions about the cars, club etc.
Our thanks to Colin, May and Kevin for manning the Club Stand at this year’s Show;
