588XUW was imported from Sweden in 1985 by a Devon Volvo agency and was part of an extensive collection of Classic Volvos.The car was a showroom exhibit for 14 years,during this time it was driven just 1,000 miles and has now covered 58,882 miles from new.                                                                
In 2001 the car was upgraded to the American 08 standard by the addition of twin SU,s and a 4 speed gearbox,at the same time it was converted to unleaded petrol.
The car is almost completely original and has had only a small amount of cosmetic to the body.The car has won many prizes over the years and recently won the Most original car at a major West country show.
He car is now on its 3rd set of tyres which white wall radials imported from America.The original white wall cross ply is still in the boot.

Recent work carried out includes a complete brake overhaul,new radiator,stainless exhaust,upgraded lighting,and new battery.
All spares are readily available from UK sources.
